Ruby Rose, the breakout "Orange is the New Black" star and Justin Bieber's doppelgänger, shattered the gender binary by adding four small words to the end of her greeting during the 2015 MTV European Music Awards. Rose's introduction for her hosting gig at the Sunday awards ceremony earned her praise from fans on social media for including all gender identities with her comment, reported MTV.

"Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between," said Rose at the start of the night, according to MTV. The Aussie model and actress has been very vocal about her gender identity in the past, and opened up about her gender fluidity within the past year.

"'ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between' Ruby Rose fiercely breaking the gender binary at EMAs," said Twitter user @MonetGrrl about Rose's comment.

"'Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between.' thank you @RubyRose i love you," wrote Twitter user @Bezstr.

Rose is known for being open about her gender identity. In her 2014 short video "Break Free," she celebrated all different types of gender roles, reported the Independent. Rose wrote, produced and starred in the 5-minute short, which currently has more than 13 million views on YouTube.

"Gender fluidity is not really feeling like you're at one end of the spectrum or the other," Rose explained in a June interview with Elle. "For the most part, I definitely don't identify as any gender. I'm not a guy; I don't really feel like a woman, but obviously I was born one. So, I'm somewhere in the middle, which — in my perfect imagination — is like having the best of both sexes."
