The MTV Europe Music Awards are on this weekend, and we have everything you need to know about the star-studded event! This year's show is hosted by none other than Ed Sheeran and Ruby Rose, so it's bound to be an exciting night as musicians from all over the world compete in several unique categories to see who the best of the best is.

From legends like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, to some newbies like Shawn Mendes and Tori Kelly, the categories are stacked with extremely talented nominees. Just like the VMA's, you never really know what could happen and that's what makes this one of the most entertaining and energized award shows out there.

Nicki Minaj hosted last year in several revealing outfits while Miley Cyrus lit up a joint on stage, so you can only imagine what this year's show will have in store as it's expected to be even bigger and better than last year's.

This year's show and red carpet will have a special live stream on their free app that will be in a 360-degree virtual reality format, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "We are always looking at new ways to engage our audience and push boundaries," Viacom International President and CEO Bob Bakish said. "The MTV EMAs are one of the biggest nights of the year for us globally, so it makes sense to immerse viewers in this event live via virtual reality."
