Lamar Odom has only been out of the coma for a little over a week, but he's a strong guy, and it's showing because his condition is greatly improving.

"He's doing much better, still little by little," a source told Us Weekly. "He is still getting lots of treatment but getting better day by day."

While the athlete continues to recover, more and more information about his overdose is being discovered as they perform health tests on him to try and figure out exactly what happened before they found him unconscious at a Nevada brothel. His kidneys are still in bad shape, and it is known that he will need months of therapy to work through this, but it's still a miracle that he is even alive.

A series of brain scans were performed on Odom, and the doctors have found out that he suffered 12 strokes early on in his medical emergency, according to TMZ. These strokes didn't affect his vital organs at all, but they did affect his ability to walk and talk. It is still unclear how much of his motor skills will be restored, or if any of this will be permanent.

Odom underwent two emergency surgeries earlier this week that left him in "a fragile mental state," as HNGN previously reported. It's great news to hear that he is feeling much better now, as doctors were a little concerned with his mental issues.
