Daniel Radcliffe has been very open in the past about his struggles with alcohol. The "Harry Potter" star opened up to the newly non-nude Playboy magazine about his former addiction and which of the eight Potter films he cannot stand to watch.

Radcliffe previously admitted to drinking heavily between the ages of 18 and 20 and being drunk on the set of "Harry Potter."

"I went into work still drunk," Radcliffe said in 2012, according to People. "I can point to many scenes where I'm just gone. Dead behind the eyes. I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem."

The actor said the issue came out of him being very self-conscious in public. Anytime the actor wanted to go out and have a night on the town he was riddled with self-doubt, a little liquid courage would make his anxiety better.

"What's the easiest way to escape being self-conscious? Alcohol is a quick way of doing that," he told Playboy.

While the actor said that his favorite performance as Potter came in the fifth installment titled "Order of the Phoenix," he admitted that he could barely stand to watch the sixth film, "Half-Blood Prince."

"In every movie up to the sixth one, you can see a big step forward in my acting. And then it stopped, or went backward maybe, in the sixth film," Radcliffe said. "On the sixth, I remember watching it and thinking, Wow, there's been no growth. You're watching a mistake you made every day for 11 months - that's the way I saw it."

Radcliffe's next film "Victor Frankenstein" comes out Nov. 25.
