What happens when a determined 15-year-old German farm girl asks her parents for a horse and they tell her no? She heads out to the field, brings in the family cow and starts riding it, according to Country Rebel.

While Luna, the clumsy stockily built cow is no horse, she is 'horse-like' enough, and it wasn't long before Regina Mayer had her jumping hurdles like the show pony of her dreams, according to USA Today

"She thinks she's a horse," joked Regina, atop the sweet, slow moving bovine.

Watch the endearing video showing Regina in her riding helmet, boots riding her English saddled cow, Luna, as they work in unison, with as much grace as you can expect. Regina is thrilled with how well Luna learned to jump. There was a little hesitation at first, but Regina's positivity worked wonders.

Now, Luna understands commands such as "go," ''stand" and "gallop." Of course, that's if she is in the mooood.

"When she wants to do something she does it, but when she doesn't, she doesn't," said Mayer, according to the Huffington Post. "And she's often very headstrong but can also be really adorable."

While Regina hasn't given up dreams of having a horse, Luna will always be number one in her heart.

"She'll stay my darling," she said.
