Fawn the calf is taking her first steps on her own after a "freak accident" thanks to her new prosthetic legs.

When she was young, Fawn fell into a concrete manure pit and fractured her left knee, Mail Online reported. Because of her injury, she resorted to crawling to get around, which made her legs grow into a bent shape.

To keep Fawn from getting euthanized, rescue workers from Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in N.Y. raised money to get her surgery to straighten her legs. She had special boots made for her, similar to prosthetic legs, which help her walk.

Boots similar to Fawn's cost at least $800 per boot, according to Mail Online.

After weeks of rehab, Fawn is finally able to walk on her own!
