Hip Hop mogul Marion "Suge" Knight and comedian pal Katt Williams have been ordered to stand trial to face charges stemming from a 2014 run-in with paparazzi, the Associated Press reported. Knight and Williams were charged with robbery after stealing a photographer's camera.

After a preliminary hearing that lasted only one hour, Judge Ronald Coen of the Los Angeles Superior Court heard testimony and determined that there was enough evidence to move forward with a trial, Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the L.A. County district attorney's office, told The Los Angeles Times.

The incident occurred on Sept. 5, 2014, just days after Knight, 50, was shot in a nightclub. Video footage, which was played in court, depicted Knight ordering Williams, 44, to take celebrity photographer Leslie Redden's camera, the New York Daily News reported. The founder of the iconic '90s hip hop label Death Row Records blamed the incident on Redden and claimed that he reacted because she took photos of his son. Knight also reportedly ordered a female companion to chase and physically assault Redden.

Redden claimed in her testimony that she sustained injuries to her hands and wrist along with a concussion. Williams and Knight were each charged with one count of robbery, and Knight was charged with an additional felony criminal threat charged in relation to the orders he made before Redden was attacked.

"The two things he said were going to happen actually happened," testified Detective Mark Schwartz of the Beverly Hills Police Department, as reported by the NYDN.

Knight and Williams are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 27 to be re-arraigned, according to AP. Both men have pleaded not guilty.
