Ever since Hayden Panettiere gave birth to her daughter Kaya at the end of last year, she has been suffering from postpartum depression, which is a common issue for new mothers. She only recently opened up about the condition that is "completely uncontrollable" as she tried to raise awareness, letting other people who suffer know that they're not alone. While she has been working toward healing herself, sometimes there's only so much you can do on your own, which is why she has decided to now get professional help.

"[She] is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression," the 26-year-old "Nashville" star's rep told People. "She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time."

While on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" on Sept. 28, Panettiere explained how hard this can be on a person. "It's something that's completely uncontrollable," she told the hosts. "It's really painful and it's really scary and women need a lot of support."

Just a few days ago, Panettiere positively tweeted, leading fans to believe everything was okay, but sometimes you just never know what someone is really going through. "Feeling like I'm #finally coming back in to my own body!" she wrote alongside a beautiful picture of herself. "Mother #daughter #blessing #wellworthit."
