Tim Tebow may have another shot in the NFL - this time, with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  The Jags are reportedly giving Tebow "a shot" at playing quarterback for the 0-4 team, if only to generate ticket sales and publicity.

The Jaguars appear to be throwing in the towel already.  After trading left tackle Eugene Monroe for a stockpile of late-round picks, it wouldn't be a surprise if running back Maurice Jones Drew went next.  Jacksonville looks to be readying for the draft, where a losing season could net them Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

With nothing to lose, why not give Tebow a chance?  It's the rallying call of a band of Jacksonville fans petitioning the team to sign the free agent.  Based on a report from TerezOwens.com, the Jaguars are ready to concede they now have nothing to lose by signing Tebow.

"According to our Jaguars leaker, the team is going to give Tim Tebow a shot to recapture his dream of playing Quarterback once again," wrote Terez Owens on Thursday.  "Our source tells us the Jaguars realize Tebow can only help merchandise and ticket sales, and will bring a major surge of interest to the Jaguars."

Filling seats in EverBank Field has been difficult for years, and the team's 0-4 record and lack of star power isn't helping to change that.  Desperate enough to offer free beer with ticket purchases, signing the polarizing free agent seems to be the next logical step to boost fan interest.

While Tebow's ability as a quarterback is often criticized, he's unlikely to make the offense any worse.  In four games, the Jags' offense has averaged just 7.75 points per game.

Only Terez Owens has reported Jacksonville's decision to give Tebow a chance.  It's unclear what giving Tebow "a shot" entails, but it'd likely first be a workout.
