Caleb Logan Bratayley, the 13-year-old YouTube star who passed away earlier this week, reportedly suffered from an undiagnosed illness that eventually led to his death, reported Us Weekly. Caleb's mother Katie took to the family's official Instagram account to deliver the news.

"Caleb's death has raised many questions about how and why this could happen to a seemingly healthy boy," wrote Katie on Instagram, alongside a photo of her son on Instagram. "Sadly, tests have confirmed today that Caleb passed away from an undetected medical condition. We'll have more definitive answers in the coming weeks but ask that you help us celebrate his life instead of focus on his death."

The Bratayley family are famous for their highly successful YouTube channel, which launched in 2010, HNGN previously reported. The Bratayleys posted videos of Caleb and his younger sisters (10-year-old Annie and 7-year-old Hayley) to the video streaming site, and have reached a combined 1 billion views.

Mom Katie originally asked for privacy while the family grieves but, because of the family's devoted online fan base, she decided to share Caleb's memorial service via a live-stream.

"Due to an outpouring of support and people's hope to be part of his memorial, we have decided to live-stream the ceremony tomorrow at 8pm EDT," wrote Katie. "Additional information below. Thank you for all your kindness during this difficult time."
