YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley has passed away at just 13 years old.

Caleb, who was part of the popular YouTube family known as the Brateyleys, died suddenly on Oct. 1. His mother made the announcement on the family's official Instagram page, stating that he had died from natural causes.

"This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him," the caption read. "His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son. We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato."

This is the first time that the family, who decided to open their lives to the public in 2010 on the popular streaming website, is seeking any privacy, according to Variety. Their daily videos have reached over 1 billion views on YouTube in the past five years. Their most popular episode has over 22 million streams.

Maker Studios, which is the digital-media company that represented the Bratayley family, offered their condolences. "We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of Caleb from Bratayley, a beloved member of the Maker family," the statement read. "Our love, support, thoughts and prayers are with the Bratayley family."

One day after the family shared the sad news with the world, they posted one of their popular daily videos, which featured Caleb, according to People. This video was made on Wednesday, just one day before he passed and has already brought in over 2 million views.

"It is with our deepest sorrow to report that the Instagram announcement was indeed true," the family wrote on YouTube. "In addition to our desire to give the Internet community the chance to begin the grieving process, we also wanted to post this video to show a healthy and happy Caleb doing what he loved. Thank you for all the love and support that everyone has shown our family. And we ask for continued love and support as we move through the grieving process."

On Sunday, they posted another video remembering the young teen titled, "Caleb, Gone But Never Forgotten." This has already generated over 850,000 views, and the number is growing by the second.

Caleb is survived by his two sisters, Annie, 10, and Hayley, 7, and his parents Katie and Billy.
