The last two years have been shorter than ever for fans of the top girl group KARA. Once again, the contract of some members are about to end.

On Oct. 2013, the contracts of Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Hara expired. While the three decided to renew, the new contracts were only good for two years.

"Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Hara signed the contracts two years ago in October of 2013. Their re-signing hasn't been decided yet. We plan to decide after having a meeting with the members and the agency," DSP Media said on Oct. 6, AllKpop reported.

Within the duration of the new contract, the group was able to come up with two albums, "Day and Night" and "In Love," which they promoted successfully in Korea and Japan.

Hara, the face of the group, also had a solo debut. Her album "Alohara" managed to do well despite being released in the heat of summer's girl group war. The title track "Chocolate Chip Cookie" was sweet and seductive, highlighting Hara's hip and sexy image.

The last time the group's contract expired, KARA lost two members, Nicole, who is promoting as a soloist in Korea and Japan, and Jiyoung, who is an actress in Japan.

The group also earned a new member through a reality show. Youngji, who further rose to fame because of the TV show "Roommate", is the only KARA member whose contract is not about to expire.

Few things are possible after KARA's contract expires again. KARA may go on as a group, or they may leave Youngji alone.

Another possibility is for DSP to retain a successful duo of Hara and Youngji, which they tried out on one of the songs in Hara's solo album. The two superb dancers rocked the fierce and sexy song "How About Me." Youngji's soft rap complimented Hara's sexy vocals. Hara and Youngji are the youngest members in Kara.
