Gaon, the national music chart of South Korea, has spoken. For the week beginning on Sept. 20 and ending on Sept. 26, Gary, CN Blue, Hyukoh and Seventeen won the top honors.
For the Gaon Chart National Digital Singles Ranking, which counts the number of downloads, Gary's "Get Some Air" featuring Miwoo ranks in first place. The song also ruled in the Online Downloads For The Week category.
For the Gaon Chart National Physical Albums Ranking, which measures the physical sales in stores, CN Blue's "2gether" came in first.
In the album's lead single "Cinderella," the princes of CN Blue showcased the group's refined and mature side.
"Wi Ing Wi Ing" by Hyukoh is the most-sung karaoke song nationwide. The song is very soothing and sentimental amd might be best listened to on a cold night with a wine in hand.
Finally, rookie group Seventeen tops the Gaon Social Chart, which does not come as a surprise since young girls giggle at the fresh, young and handsome members of the group.
The Gaon Chart is the equivalent of Oricon in Japan and Billboard in the United States.
