The New Orleans Saints are expecting quarterback Drew Brees to start on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Mike Triplett of ESPN.

"I think he's planning on it, and I think we're planning on starting him based on the workweek and the reps," said head coach Sean Payton, via ESPN. "He's thrown well. I thought he looked sharp today." Brees is listed as probable after missing last week due to a shoulder injury.

The Saints are winless this season and they have a tough test at home Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Brees will likely try to lead his team to their first victory this season, but it will be a difficult task, as the Cowboys will be looking for a win after their first lost last week.

Brees isn't the only one trying to make his return to the lineup this week, as Houston Texans running back Arian Foster could make his first start this week. Foster is listed as questionable on the Texans injury report, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Foster suffered a groin injury back in early August, and the subsequent surgery has kept him out of play this season. "It feels great so yeah, I feel like I've got a chance. It just depends on how it feels on Sunday," said Foster, via houstontexans.com.

The Texans face the undefeated Atlanta Falcons, but they will look to pick up their second win of the season against another NFC South team. If Foster can't go, Alfred Blue will try to pick up where he left off last week. Blue rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers last week, but he knows his role if Foster returns, according to Dale Robertson of blog.chron.com.

Both the Texans and Saints chances in their games will likely vastly improve with these stars on the field, and it seems like both have a good shot to go this Sunday.
