Actor Nicholas Brendon was arrested for the fourth time this year after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during an argument on Wednesday, according to officials. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Criminal Minds" alum is facing charges of robbery, obstruction of breathing and criminal mischief, said Saratoga Springs police Lt. Bob Jillson, according to The Associated Press.

"Last night around 11:30 p.m., we got called to a nice family-owned hotel in town for a reported domestic disturbance," said Jillson, People reported. "We got to the room and we found a 33-year-old female there by herself, and she reported that she had been in a domestic incident with Nick, and he had subsequently left before we got there. She did not have any physical injuries that we were aware of."

The altercation took place when the woman went to the hotel to give Brendon some of his personal belongings. As she was about to leave, he apparently grabbed her keys and threw her cell phone away as she tried to call for help. "It sounds like it went downhill from there," Jillson said. "He allegedly grabbed her by the throat and started choking her." Police officers found Brendon a couple of blocks away from the hotel.

In May, the actor was arrested for public intoxication, and two months earlier he was charged with criminal mischief and property damage at a Florida hotel. In February, he was placed under arrest after he refused to pay a bill at another Florida hotel, as HNGN previously reported.
