Nicholas Brendon and Moonda Tee are calling it quits.

Us Weekly reported that the 43-year-old actor, best known for his character Xander Harris on the supernatural drama "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," has split from wife, Moonda Tee, less then five months after tying the knot.

In a statement posted to Brendon's Facebook page on Thursday, Andrea Albin, representative for the actor wrote, "I am officially announcing that Nicholas and his wife, Moonda Tee, have parted ways. Nicholas expressed that Moonda is truly a 'beautiful person' and that he 'wishes her the best that life has to offer.' We know that there will be rumors and gossip, but we ask that Nick's privacy be respected during this difficult time."

The statement added, "Things like this are never easy... Every experience we have builds who we become."

The former couple tied the knot last October in Las Vegas. The two married less than one week after Brendon proposed to Tee in Colorado.

"AND WERE MARRIED!!! ##tildeathdouspart," the "Criminal Minds" actor tweeted at the time,  along with a photo of himself and Tee standing beneath the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign.

Last year, Brendon was arrested in Boise, Idaho, less than three weeks after the wedding date. The actor was charged with malicious injury to property and resisting or obstructing officers.
