Caitlyn Jenner has escaped criminal charges stemming her fatal car accident in February. The Los Angeles D.A. will not charge Jenner with vehicular manslaughter or any other crimes connected to the accident, according to TMZ.

The District Attorney rejected the case and came to the conclusion that there was no proof to show her conduct was unreasonable. Jenner was not speeding and she hit her brakes. The only possible violation was a basic speed law that the D.A. chose to ignore.

"We believed from the start that a thorough and objective investigation would clear Caitlyn of any criminal wrongdoing," her lawyer Blair Berk told TMZ. "We are heartened the District Attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanor charge would not be appropriate."

In February, Jenner's car collided with the vehicle in front of her on the Pacific Coast Highway, forcing it to careen into the path of an oncoming Hummer. The driver, 69-year-old Kim Howe, was killed on impact.

"A tragedy like this you'll never get over it, you just learn to live with it the best you possibly can," the 65-year-old reality star told "Today" co-anchor Matt Lauer earlier this month.

Berk added in his statement to TMZ, "A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter."
