In part two of Vin Diesel's interview with the "Today" show, the star spoke of the late Paul Walker and how he was more than just a co-star.

Walker was killed in a car crash back in Nov. 2013, but many are still living by his caring words. Vin Diesel may be tough and buff, but he has a soft spot for the advice that Walker passed on to him before his tragic death.

"[Walker] went into fatherhood a lot earlier than I did. He took on that role of kind of being the guide into fatherhood for me. It's kind of beautiful," Diesel told Natalie Morales of "Today."

The late "Fast and Furious" actor instructed Diesel to make sure he was around for the birth of his children, and told him that being there for his family was more important than acting.

"The one thing Paul always wanted me to do was be present at my child's birth. He was so adamant about it," Diesel said.

Walker welcomed his first child - daughter Meadow, 16, - when he was 25 years old, and back in 2010 when news broke that Diesel's girlfriend Paloma Jimenez had gone into labor while "Fast 5" was being filmed, the late actor insisted that Diesel leave the set, according to Us Weekly.

"We were in Puerto Rico doing the [last] scene. Paul Walker and I came out of the car and [we found out] her water broke in New York. My son was being born," Diesel recalled. "He was like, 'We can film later. You have to go now.' And he was right and I did."

Jimenez gave birth to their son, whom they named Vincent Sinclair. Diesel has three children, and he and Jimenez named their newborn daughter (born this month) "Pauline" as a tribute to Paul Walker.

Clearly, Walker had a tremendous impact on Diesel's life, and his decision to name his daughter after the late actor is proof that Walker's memory will live on in Diesel's family.

"There's no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord," he said. "I just thought... I knew he was there and it felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world."

"Furious 7" hits theaters April 3.
