In May, Michael B. Jordan was seen leaving the Met Gala in New York City with model Kendall Jenner. In a new interview with GQ, the actor opened up about those pesky dating rumors and the hostile way people responded.

"It's the world we live in. They see white and black. I don't," he reveals. "Kendall's a friend of mine, you know. I don't know her, like, that well, but I know her enough."

"People's perspective on that is what it is," he continued. "I don't f--king know. I don't live my life to make other people happy. It's so weird, though, right? A lot of black fans were feeling like 'Oh, my god, he should have been with a black woman' and that whole thing."

Jordan and the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star were first rumored to be dating after they left a Met Gala after party together in May, reported E! News.

Jordan was just the latest man that the supermodel was apparently dating. Earlier this month Jenner was seen out and about in New York City with British Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton. Before Hamilton, she was linked to Nick Jonas, who denied the rumors and said that he was not dating Jenner.

"We're not dating," Jonas said. "Kendall is great and naturally with her being good friends with Gigi (Hadid) and with Joe (Jonas) and Gigi dating, there are times we'll all be in the same place and we all hang out."
