A few weeks ago, rumors that Nick Jonas and Kendall Jenner were dating started going around, and fans everywhere went crazy over the idea. With the two being such big names in young Hollywood, it seemed like a match made in heaven.

At the time, it had been revealed that the two were introduced by Jenner's BFF Gigi Hadid, who is dating Nick's brother Joe.

"Gigi wants Kendall around all the time," a source had told Us Weekly. "She thinks it would be fun for all of them to hang out." After going on about their "flirty chemistry," it seemed as though it was more of just an "obvious attraction" than a romance, and even though Nick, 22, has admitted in the past that he "wouldn't be opposed" to dating the 19-year-old model, he wanted to set the record straight.

"We're not dating," Nick confirmed to E! News while promoting his new song "Levels." "Kendall is great and naturally with her being good friends with Gigi and with Joe [Jonas] and Gigi dating, there are times we'll all be in the same place and we all hang out."

He once again said he is open to some romance in his life as long as it's kept "light and casual" since he and Olivia Culpo just split in June after dating for two years.

"I'm trying to take the time to walk out of this next phase of my life and be single the right way," he continued. "I [also] like being able to work as hard as I want. I'm incredibly driven and with all the projects I have going on, they take up a lot of my time. I like to work hard and just be as focused on work as possible."

With his second album coming out soon, that's exactly what he's doing.  "Levels" will be the first single off the album and he is set to perform it during the MTV VMA Pre-Show next Sunday. The song's music video will also be exclusively released that night. His tour will then start on Sept. 6 in Pennsylvania.
