A rat from New York City, dubbed the "Pizza Rat" has taken the Internet by storm and has left viewers in awe.
In a video posted on YouTube, the rodent can be seen dragging a pizza down the stairs ignoring the fact that the slice is far bigger than it and that at any moment it could be squashed by travelers trying to reach their next destination.
The rat continues to carry the pizza down the stairs until it notices that it's being watched and quickly scampers into hiding while keeping an eye on its prized loot.
Many on social media have taken a liking to the rodent, mentioning that the rodent is reminiscent of themselves, as well as making an assortment of other jokes, according to the New York Daily News.
"Pizza Rat is me tbh" one Tweet said.
"We should all aspire to be like Pizza Rat," a YouTuber wrote.
"I wonder if that pizza is from Ray's, Original Ray's, Ray's Original, or Original Famous Ray's?" one YouTube user commented.
The video has even become a sensation on Twitter trending under the hashtag #PizzaRat, with notable figures taking notice.

Some have even likened the rat's struggle to get his pizza to the everyday grind of trying to fight hard for your dreams.

Needless to say, while the rat has ignored the fact that the pizza is larger than itself, social media has forgotten that Pizza Rat is still a rat callous enough to crawl out of its hole and onto the subway platform - a common occurrence in NYC.
The Internet truly loves disgusting things.
