Some Chinese sperm banks must have been scoffing at recent reports of individuals going as far as selling their kidneys in exchange for an iPhone 6S. The reason is that men can actually have the smartphone for a lot less effort and, certainly, far less traumatic experiences. All they need to do is donate sperm.

The sperm bank, which is affiliated with Shanghai's Number 1 hospital, is offering the selected individuals rose gold iPhone 6S in exchange for their donations, reported Shanghaiist. Other sperm banks' plea are underlined with cash, which could reach as high as 6,000RMB - the price of an iPhone 6s in China - for every 17 ml of sample. Cases in point are Renji Hospital and Hubei Human Sperm Bank, CNET reported.

There is a catch, however. The sperm banks have outlined several requirements for the sperm donors. For starters, they must be at least 165 cm tall and have completed a college degree. In addition, they are required to have no genetic diseases and, naturally, are fertile.

Presently, the sperm banks are engaged in an unprecedented competition for donors. Several have been aggressively distributing flyers and posting newspaper advertisements with hopes of snagging more ounces of sample to satisfy an increasing demand in the country. In addition, sperm banks have built cozy donation rooms to induce men into produce samples over several sessions within a six-month period, according to Mashable.
