HBO's "Game of Thrones" isn't just one of television's most impressive series, it's also one of its most popular. Thanks to a wide array of engaging characters, fans all across the world tune in for someone to root for. Despite not receiving as much screen time as some of the other major players, Gwendoline Christie's Brienne of Tarth has become a fan favorite due to her incorruptible moral sensibilities and her impressive fighting prowess.

While the former is more important in the grand scheme of character development, it is the latter that is most exciting on a week-to-week basis. To the delight of audiences worldwide, Christie teased a massive fight scene for her character in the upcoming sixth season.

Christie recently revealed to The Sunday Times that she had "been fighting for three whole days, three entire days without ceasing or desisting. Really vicious, vicious, up-close, thuggish fighting."

Unfortunately, the actress (likely having improved her secret-keeping skills shooting "Star Wars: The Force Awakens") would not reveal which character she was fighting with.

Christie's most famous fight scene on "Game of Thrones" is undoubtedly her brutal matchup with Sandor "The Hound" Clegane from season four, in which Brienne walked away bloodied but victorious. If her new fight scene is even half as exciting or as physically demanding, then fans are in for an epic bout next year.

But violence isn't the only attractive aspect about Brienne. Christie noted her and others as strong female characters in the world of "Game of Thrones."

"I thought they were fabulous because there were so many women in leading roles," she said. "All sorts of women, not just whores or princesses, but princesses who were whores. Evil women. Brilliant, clever, strong women. Women who could be mothers and murderers."

Season six of "Game of Thrones" will debut in 2016.
