A 13-year-old boy from Maryland will face assault charges after kissing his classmate, a 14-year-old girl, on a dare, according to The Examiner.

Officials at the Pikesville Middle School called authorities Wednesday after one of the eighth grade boys allegedly kissed a girl without her consent.

The boy says he kissed her on a dare from other classmates, but the stunt appears to be no laughing matter.

The alleged kissing victim said that the boy grabbed her by the shirt near her stomach, pulled her close and kissed her open mouth with his tongue, CBS Baltimore reported.

"This was determined to be against her will," said the police.

The young boy has been charged with second-degree assault, according to ABC NewsHe wasn't, however, taken to the police station, but he was instead released into his mother's custody at the school.

In terms of ordinary school discipline, Mychael Dickerson, spokesperson for the Baltimore County School System, says that the child will face the appropriate "disciplinary action" for breaking the school's code of conduct.

There has been no word on whether the boy will have to get a lawyer or what legal actions will be taken next.
