Ever since Daniel Craig hinted that the upcoming James Bond film, "Spectre," could be his last, rumors of who should take over as the British Spy have been nonstop! One of the favorites to take over for Craig is Tom Hardy.

"I think anybody would consider doing Bond, wouldn't they?" the actor told Sky News. Even though Hardy gave little away about the possible role and did not say if he had been approached, at least he said he was open to the idea!

Craig previously told Britain's Esquire magazine he was leaning towards not returning to the role of Bond after his fourth time playing the character. "At this moment, no. I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit, but we'll see," he said.

Idris Elba was also at the top of many lists to play Bond and was even name-checked in a leaked email from then Sony Entertainment co-chair Amy Pascal during the Sony hacking scandal. Although Elba was a fan and studio favorite to play 007, Bond "Trigger Mortis" author Anthony Horowitz said he thought the actor was "too street" to play the character.

"For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It's not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too 'street' for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah," Horowitz told the Daily Mail.

Hardy can now be seen in "Legend" where he took on the roles of notorious twin criminals Ronald and Reginald Kray.
