Crigler's body was eventually found in his flat by police officers on Jan. 13, according to the Independent.

Throughout the 21-day long trial, prosecutors presented evidence that tied Martin to the crime, including video surveillance footage and forensic evidence.

At the end of the trial, it took only four hours for the jury to convict Martin of first-degree murder, reported the Las Angeles TimesAfter the verdict was announced, Martin was sentenced to 35 years to life in state prison.
