Chris Pratt posted a touching tribute to his late father on Twitter over Labor Day weekend, Entertainment Weekly reported. Pratt's father Dan succumbed to multiple sclerosis, a disease he battled with for many years.

"Your to do list: 1)have kids 2)play outside 3)teach them to fish 4)take pictures," Pratt tweeted on Saturday. "Thanks Dad. Miss you man."

The tweet was accompanied by an old photo of Pratt and his brother Cully on a fishing trip with their father. In the throwback pic, Dan had his arms around both of his sons' shoulders as they held fishing rods and flashed wide smiles.

Pratt opened up about his father's passing in a June interview with GQ magazine, and revealed that Dan passed away last year while Pratt was filming "Jurassic World." He shared fond memories of his father before he was diagnosed with MS while Pratt was in his 20s.

"He was a hard worker," Pratt told GQ. "He was a good problem solver-like, physical problems. He was good at building things with his hands. He could kind of fake it till you make it in terms of machinery and equipment-like, they would ask 'Anyone at this site know how to run a Caterpillar?' and he'd be like 'Yeah, I do', and then he'd get in there and figure out the controls, confident in his ability to figure sh-- out as he went along."
