"Luke Cage" is quickly building up its cast as Theo Rossi and Simone Missick join the third Netflix series from Marvel. The show will also welcome "Daredevil" star Rosario Dawson, who will reprise her role as the night nurse Claire.

Rossi has been cast as a series regular to reportedly play adversary Shades a.k.a. Alvarez, a well-known criminal, according to Deadline. The breakdown of his character was under the name Sonny, described as relentless and menacing, smooth and manipulative, street smart and controlling.

Missick will play the role of Misty Knight, according to Deadline. Her character in the comics is a former New York City police officer who gets a bionic arm from Tony Stark after she loses hers in the line of duty. She eventually leaves the department to start her own detective agency.

In "Luke Cage," Knight will still be a member of the NYPD as a detective, who reluctantly partners with Cage (Mike Colter), according to ComicBook.com. Also in the comics, Knight falls in love with Iron Fist, who will take the spotlight in the fourth planned Marvel-Netflix series.

Rossi and Missick will join Alfre Woodard, who will possibly play another Luke Cage enemy, Black Mariah. The character is a professional criminal and drug dealer.

Dawson will make the rounds once again as she reprises her role as Claire in "Luke Cage," Deadline reported. In addition to "Daredevil's" return in season two, Claire will also show up in the upcoming "A.K.A. Jessica Jones" show.

Marvel's "Luke Cage" will premiere in 2016 on Netflix.
