Marvel branched out in a big way earlier this year when the first season of Netflix's "Daredevil" was met with significant praise from fans and critics alike. Not much is known about the second season, but we do know that Rosario Dawson's Clair Temple a.k.a. Night nurse will be returning. She may be joined by the iconic Matt Murdock love interest Elektra and villain Bullseye, though both roles are unconfirmed at this time. We definitely know she'll be joined by The Punisher.

But Dawson will also appear in other Marvel Netflix series as well. "Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage," and "Iron Fist" may all see her cameo before the four street-level heroes join forces for "The Defenders." But how will her character fit in these storylines going forward? It's clear that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is open to changing up some of the arcs from the source material.

"Even just having Night Nurse and Claire Temple come together was already changing the marvel universe," Dawson said in an interview with MTV News. "So it just feels like, A) I finally get to join marvel. I get to do it in a way that's completely altering the universe, which is awesome. And then, B) I have no idea where it's going to go, because here I was having a fling with Matt Murdock, and now Luke Cage is coming up, and Jessica Jones."

In the comics, Claire Temple and night Nurse are two different characters, with the former getting involved with Luke Cage. However, Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) is also a love interest to Cage as well.

Dawson's character may cross paths with The Punisher as well as Jon Bernthal has officially been named to the role for season two.

"That's going to raise the stakes so much more, because Matt Murdock almost behaves like The Punisher in the first season. [Matt] crosses the line quite often, so it's going to be really interesting to see how they differentiate them and where that goes."

Interesting indeed.
