Donald Trump is currently running to be president in 2016, but the mogul is already looking ahead to 2020 -- when he'll run against rapper Kanye West. "I hope to run against him someday," Trump said, according to The Washington Post. Trump was responding to West's announcement at the MTV Video Music Awards that he will run for president in 2020. "There are comparisons made so often...comparisons with Kanye and myself. I don't quite get it," Trump said.

West made his announcement at the MTV Video Music Awards, which aired Sunday night. So far, only Trump seems to be taking the claim seriously. "[West is] actually a different kind of person than people think. He's a nice guy," Trump said, according to CNN.

Both men are known for being outspoken and extremely confident in themselves. West is also well-known for making himself seen at award shows. At a previous MTV VMA event, he upstaged award winner Taylor Swift by taking the microphone out of her hand when she tried to accept her statue. When that occurred in 2009, Trump said he wanted to boycott West, according to US Magazine.

"He said very nice things about me in the past," Trump said of West. Trump is running in the Republican primary. Kanye West, an outspoken supporter of President Barack Obama in the past, will likely run as a Democrat.
