"The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" has added Ronny Chieng, Desi Lydic and Roy Wood Jr. as correspondents for the upcoming season. The three comedians were hired to help usher in the new era of "The Daily Show" after longtime host Jon Stewart left last month.

The three new correspondents join a roster that already includes correspondents Jordan Klepper, Hasan Minhaj, Jessica Williams, Lewis Black, John Hodgman, Al Madrigal, Aasif Mandvi and Kristen Schaal, reported Yahoo.

"I'm so excited to welcome these new members of the Daily Show team," said host Trevor Noah in a statement, according to the New York Times. "Now I get to share my stress with other new people."

Chieng graduated from the University of Melbourne with degrees in law and commerce. He was recognized in 2012 as one of the "Top 10 Rising Comedians in Australia" by several publications. He opened for Dave Chappelle in 2014 and Bill Burr in 2015 when they made stops in Australia for their stand-up tours, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Lydic trained and performed at The Groundlings and the Improv Olympics, and appeared on the MTV comedy series "Awkward" as guidance counselor Valerie Marks.

Wood made his network debut back in 2006 on "The Late Show with David Letterman" where he performed a stand-up comedy routine. In 2010, the comedian took third place on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." He then starred in the TBS comedy "Sullivan & Son" for all three of its seasons.

"The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" premieres Monday, Sept. 28, at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central.
