Sept. 1 is an especially important day in the wizarding world, as it is the start of a new term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling took to Twitter on Tuesday to remind the world that one very important 11-year-old was on his way to Hogwarts for the first time, Harry Potter's first son with Ginny Weasley, James S. Potter!

The author tweeted later in the day that James S. Potter had been sorted into his house at Hogwarts. To no one's surprise, James took after his father and was sorted into Gryffindor!

James and Lupin were seen in the last chapter of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" titled "Epilogue: Nineteen Years Later." The epilogue took place on Harry's second son Albus Severus' first day of school at Hogwarts, according to Entertainment Tonight . Even though Rowling reported that Lupin was disappointed in the shorting hats decision to put him into Hufflepuff, readers of the book already knew that he did very well in the house and even was even named head-boy!

Notable alumni of Gryffindor included Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, the entire Weasley family, Albus Dumbledore, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Harry's parents James and Lily, reported Us Weekly. Some notable alumni of the Hufflepuff house were Newt Scamander, Nymphadora Tonks (Teddy's mother) and Cedric Diggory.

Rowling has kept fans up to date on the fate of her characters since the last "Harry Potter" book came out in 2007, according to Yahoo! News.
