Got a long but limp hairstyle? Have you ever tried bunching your hair in a bun when you sleep? Celebrity stylists and beauty bloggers insist that this simple hair trick helps create gorgeous locks when you wake up in the morning.

Sleeping in a bun eliminates messy hair that can usually lead to tangling and frizziness, hence, you wake up looking like you've just been electrocuted. This hair trick also adds volume that makes wearing it down easier, according to She Finds. It also makes your hairstyle appear effortless and not overdone, according to The Skinny Confidential.

To do this, you'll need alligator clips from Sephora to set your hair in a bun, but you may also use bobby pins. Elastic hair ties, however, will not bring the best results, so don't use this.

You can do the hair bun after you've taken a bath at night, with your hair damped and towel-dried. Don't use any leave-in conditioner, according to stylist Woody Michleb, via Today. "Otherwise, your hair will still be damp in the morning."

In the morning, take off the clips and pins and loosen your hair by shaking it out. You won't need to brush it. Spray on some volumizer to finish it off.
