Google released their new logo design on Tuesday, which consists of a four-color design in a new sans-serif font, reported The Guardian. The new design will soon be displayed on all of their products and marks the biggest redesign of the company's logo since 1999.

"Google has changed a lot over the past 17 years," the company said in a blogpost. "From the range of our products to the evolution of their look and feel. And today we're changing things up once again."

The design is supposed to represent the way that consumers interact with Google products across the various platforms, apps and devices. Furthermore, it is supposed to work better on many different kinds of screens and devices, reported BBC News.

"It doesn't simply tell you that you're using Google, but also shows you how Google is working for you," Google wrote. "For example, new elements like a colorful Google mic help you identify and interact with Google whether you're talking, tapping or typing."

Google's basic logo design has remained unchanged for 16 years, but the company has become known for the creative ways that they integrate the logo into reflection of current events and trends, according to Inquisitr.

"We think we've taken the best of Google (simple, uncluttered, colorful, friendly), and recast it not just for the Google of today, but for the Google of the future."
