Defensive back and kick returner Ishmael Adams has been suspended indefinitely by the UCLA football team, according to Chris Foster and Richard Winton of the Los Angeles Times.

Adams was arrested for allegedly using force to steal an Uber driver's cellphone. The senior defensive back was apprehended by UCLA police at 3:36 a.m. Adams was later released on bail Tuesday morning. Adams is a senior this upcoming season and was said to be looking to improve on his game.

Last season Adams had 30 solo tackles and two interceptions. While Adams was not the most dominating player on the field, Jim Mora said to the Los Angeles Times, "He plays with that chip on his should in practice in games, he's a fighter, a scrapper." Of course this quote was from last season, but it shows how pleased Mora was with Adams' approach.

According to Winton and Foster, Mora said that the suspension is pending on what information is revealed during the police investigation.  Adams is due in court on Sept. 22.

Adams was not only big on defense, but for special teams as well. In 2014 Adams returned a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

The Times also included that last season former UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley said, "I don't think a day goes by were Ish doesn't try to start a fight in practice."

This information is potentially revealing about Adams, but is only one person's opinion. More information about Adams and the alleged crime will be released in time.
