A man sunbathing on top of a turbine in Portsmouth, Rhode Island was unexpectedly filmed by a drone camera operated by Kevin Miller.

Miller was on a vacation from San Diego, Calif. and decided to capture the towering 200-foot wind turbine using his quadcopter. When the drone reached the top, he was surprised to find a bearded man basking the sun, Gizmodo reported.

"At that point I decided to take a closer look by moving closer to say hi. Once I got closer I moved the drone side to side to say hello and he motioned back to the drone. It was a cool interaction between us," Miller said, according to The Daily Mirror.

"Upon landing he saw me bring the drone down and was leaning over the edge. I looked up and wave to him and he waved back," he added.

It was speculated that the bearded man was an engineer who was taking a break from his maintenance work of the turbine. It was later found out that the bearded man is a monk who works at Portsmouth Abbey School. The school said that it's not rare for the monk to soak in the sun atop the turbine, according to RT.
