Selena Gomez recently opened up about her relationship with Justin Bieber in an interview with The Sunday Times Style Magazine, admitting that she has no regrets about "falling in love."

Gomez, 23, was in a relationship with Bieber, 21, on-and-off for three years and insists that she hasn't given up on her search for love, insisting that her heartbreaking split won't stop her from falling in love again, according to the Daily Mail.

"It's difficult for people to separate us. The internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it," Selena said, the Mirror reported.

"I didn't think I was doing anything bad by falling in love," Selena added. "There's such an emphasis on people being the perfect thing and then destroying them because it's good press. Also throw in the fact that you are a teenager - it makes it more difficult."

Selena also spoke openly about her purity ring, saying that she isn't ashamed to admit that during her relationship with Nick Jonas, she wore the ring to symbolize their decision not to have sex until she was married.

"I'm not embarrassed to say that," Selena said, according to Hollywood Life. "I'm also not embarrassed to say that the ring has come off. I got it when I was 13 and I respect so much what it represented, but it isn't for everyone."

Selena said people made fun of her for wearing the purity ring. "Sometimes you have to lie to yourself to get through the criticism, and then you're in your closet crying. It has been like that for me a couple of times, but I only want to learn from those things."

Gomez then went on to speak about her friendship with Taylor Swift. "I can count on one hand the people I could call and who would be there for me. Taylor is one of the greatest people. When I split with my first boyfriend and I was really sad about it, she flew into town with homemade cookies and a bunch of junk food. To this day, if I called her, she would do the same thing, despite being one of the busiest people in the world."

Selena Gomez's next album "Revival" is slated to release in October and the "Good For You" singer will be joining Gwen Stefani on the ninth season of "The Voice USA" in September.
