Selena Gomez is Team Gwen! The "Good for You" singer will serve as an advisor for Gwen Stefani's contestants on "The Voice" this season, according to People.

Gomez will make her first appearance on the NBC singing-competition series, which will coordinate with the release of her new album, "Revival," on Oct. 9. She will help Stefani compete against returning judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams.

The 23-year-old singer has teased "Revival" as a "rebirth" for her as an artist, but she may drop a few hints about her famous break up with Justin Bieber.

"I'm becoming a young woman and I'm comfortable with my sensuality. It's just kind of not try-hard. It's just perfect. I think to me that was exactly what I want people to see for the next chapter for me," Gomez told Ryan Seacrest in June. "I'm very confident in this record and you can hear it. But I'm vulnerable, I'm real, and I think it just shows a different side of me, and I'm really excited, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders."

"The Voice" also signed Rihanna for season nine to act as an advisor for the coaches.

"We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall," NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said at the Television Critics Association summer press tour last week. "This is one of music's true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers."

The ninth season of "The Voice" premieres on Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
