Google has rolled out a new update for its Chrome browser for iOS with advanced search options and support for pronoun voice search.

Google, the world's largest search engine, celebrated the fifth successful year of its fast and powerful Chrome browser by releasing a wide range of new browser apps for Windows and Chromebook users. In a new attempt to update its browser for iOS users, the web giant rolled out small yet significant features to improve search options within the browser.

The last update for iOS Chrome app allows users to open YouTube links and Maps directly from within the app. The update brings the browser to Chrome 29, the latest version across all platforms. With the new update, iOS users get improved search options and ability to view data savings in "Bandwidth Management Settings."

The new Chrome 29 supports pronoun voice search for words like "her" or "them." Users can ask a question and run a follow-up search without mentioning the name of the subject. Karen Grünberg of Google Chrome team explained the feature with an example in the company's official Blog. "Who is the president of the United States?" followed by "Who is his wife?" are the type of queries that can fetch required answers.

In order to use the pronoun, a user must run the main question with the subject's name, be it a person or a place.

In addition to the pronoun recognition through Voice Search, the new update allows users to quickly go back to the search results page if landed on a wrong site. Furthermore, the "Bandwidth Management Settings" will display the data savings but this feature is slowly being rolled out and will cover all iOS users "over time."

The updated version of Chrome for iOS is available on iTunes for free. Users who already have the app can run a software update to enjoy the latest features.
