Last Tuesday, Rosie O'Donnell made a devastating announcement that her 17-year-old daughter Chelsea had gone missing. Luckily, they found her alive shortly after. Chelsea was with Steven Sheerer, a man she met on the dating app Tinder. New Jersey police arrested the 25-year-old for endangering the welfare of a child and for distributing obscenity.

Monday, prosecutors revealed that Sheerer had sent Chelsea nude photos, according to Fox News. The two seemed to have had inappropriate online communications considering Chelsea is still minor. This had been going on for several weeks.

Sheerer was scheduled to appear in court this afternoon via video conference in state Superior Court in Toms River. His bail was set at $40,000 cash and, if he is convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. During his hearing, Sheerer did not speak at all, according to People. His lawyer requested a reduction on his bond as he is currently being held in Ocean County Jail.

Authorities have also taken a search warrant out so they could seize his computer and other equipment, but no further details have been disclosed.
