Nicki Minaj's Madame Tussuad's wax figure has been photographed in sexually suggestive positions since its unveiling at the Las Vegas location earlier this month. The museum released a statement and said it will combat the "inappropriate" photographs by beefing up security to protect Minaj's likeness from being violated, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussuad's Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj's new wax figure," Madame Tussuad's wrote in a statement released on Twitter. "Madame Tussuad's attractions are interactive, immersive experiences and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figures. It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we [sic] apologise for any [sic] offence this has caused."

The statement comes after photos circulated online featuring fans engaged in sexually suggestive positions with Minaj's wax statue, which depicts the female rapper on all fours in a scene from her "Anaconda" music video. One photo in particular shows a man kneeling behind Minaj's figure with his hand on her waist while grabbing onto the statue's hair, according to Refinery29.

The rapper posted a video of her statue's unveiling on Instagram two weeks ago and said the moment was "so iconic." Fellow female hip hop artist Azealia Banks congratulated Minaj on her induction into the pop culture museum, but questioned the decision to display Minaj in such a suggestive pose, Buzzfeed reported.

"All [sic] ppl are gonna do is go up to that statue and take pictures shoving their crotch in her face and putting their crotch on her butt," Banks tweeted.

Madame Tussuad's said the museum plans to combat any further violation of the statue by adding more security to guard the exhibit.

"We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area," the statement read, "and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again."
