Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for season six of "The Walking Dead."

Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon from "The Walking Dead" is more than just a fan favorite character. He's basically become a cultural phenomenon, with fan groups practically worshipping the fictional ground that he stands on (to be fair, he's pretty cool). Unfortunately for them, Daryl may find himself in some serious trouble during the show's upcoming sixth season.

Michael Rooker, who played Daryl's older brother Merle Dixon, has been seen on the set for season six. That's noteworthy because his character was killed off back in season three. "The Walking Dead" has used deceased characters for flashbacks and vision scenes before, but they usually allude to more death further down the road. So could Daryl see Merle in a dream-like state before joining him in the great prison fortress in the sky?

The Spoiling Dead post that reported Rooker's presence did not explicitly state that he was there to film anything. The same goes for Tyler James Williams who played Noah (R.I.P). So it's entirely possible that they were just there to, you know, hang out.

But we also know that past and present cast members of "The Walking Dead" get together for a "death dinner" whenever a major character becomes zombie chow. The cast and crew throw a big party for the departing actor and everyone gets to say goodbye. It's a safe bet that at least one member of the Grimes Gang won't make it to next season. Will it be Daryl? Or will it be one of Rick, Michonne, Carol, Carl, etc.? We'll have to (anxiously) wait to find out.

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC on Sunday, Oct. 11.
