LeBron James might be the most recognizable athlete in the world right now and while he is great at what he does and it is fun to think about who would win a one-on-one game between him and Michael Jordan, he is a good man too. James is preparing to go to Team USA minicamp that starts on Monday and runs through Thursday. James has yet to decide if he is going to compete in the 2016 Olympics but he has decided that he will only be at one day of minicamp because he has an afternoon planned with a young boy suffering from a brain tumor as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, according to Joe Vardon of the Northeast Ohio Media Group.

Brenten Cox Is a nine year old boy from Ravenden Springs, Arkansas which is a town of 118 people. Cox has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and it was unknown if he was going to be able to fly to Cleveland in his condition but he reportedly will to shoot some hoops with his idol LeBron.

LeBron has neither confirmed nor denied whether this meeting is happening but the reports are that he doesn't want to publicize his day with Cox and he just wants it to be personal. There was one point where LeBron was considering flying to Arkansas to see Cox but now it appears that he has gotten clearance to fly.

Before the meeting with LeBron, Cox had another wish granted when he and his youth basketball team had the opportunity to play a pick-up game against Arkansas State's basketball team. For the pick-up game the University provided referees and a public address announcer as the two sides played for about 12 minutes.

Cox was named the MVP after the game and was told about his trip to Cleveland where he will be meeting his favorite player. Arkansas State head coach, John Brady had nothing but great things to say about LeBron for agreeing to do this.

"This young man, I mean, his future is up in the air, obviously. That LeBron would do something like that for this young man, it's really moving. LeBron not wanting to draw attention to it, I thought that was pretty classy," said Brady.

LeBron is more than just a great player he is a really good person who understands what kind of influence he has and knows he has the ability to change lives.
