Jenna Dewan-Tatum is heading back to the small screen. The 34-year-old "Witches of East End" star has been cast in a recurring role as Lois Lane's younger sister Lucy Lane in CBS' upcoming series, "Supergirl."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dewan-Tatum will make her debut in the third episode of the series. Lucy is reportedly just as "brash, funny and beautiful" as her big sister, but is also "strong, smart, and successful" all on her own. Lucy is also the ex-girlfriend of Kara's (Melissa Benoist) love interest Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). Her character comes to town to right a previous wrong.

Dewan-Tatum is best known for her role in 2006's film "Step Up," which she starred in alongside her Channing Tatum who is now her husband. She also had the lead role in Lifetime's cancelled series, "Witches of East End."

"Supergirl" follows Superman's cousin Kara Zor-El, who was born on the planet Krypton, but escaped following its destruction. Since arriving on Earth, Kara has been forced to keep her superhuman abilities a secret. But now, at age 24, Kara has decided to use her abilities to become a hero and gets enlisted by a super-secret agency to help protect the planet from unordinary threats.

The DC comic series also stars Chyler Leigh as Kara's foster sister Alex Danvers, Laura Benanti as her birth mother Alura Zor-El and Calista Flockhart as Kara's boss Cat Grant.

Dean Cain, who played the "Man of Steel in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman" from 1993 to 1997, will star as scientist Jeremiah Danvers, Kara's foster father. "Sons of Anarchy" alum Chris Browning will be playing Ben Krull, aka the villain Reactron and Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord.

"Supergirl" will air on CBS on October 26.
