CBS will use its strong roster of shows to give an added boost to its new fare, but has confidence "Supergirl" can hold her own to kick off Monday nights.

Once "Thursday Night Football" ends in November, "Supergirl" will move into the 8 p.m. slot that will hold "The Big Bang Theory" and new comedy "Life in Pieces" for the first few weeks of the 2015-2016 season.

The back-to-back lineup of "NCIS" and its spinoff "NCIS: New Orleans" will help launch the new series, "Limitless," based on the 2011 movie. Stalwarts "Survivor" and "Criminal Minds" will usher in its other new drama for the fall, "Code Black."

The Anna Faris-Allison Janney comedy "Mom" will return when Thursdays open up again, followed by Jane Lynch's new series, "Angel from Hell." "Big Bang" and "Life in Pieces" will transition to the night's 8 p.m. hour.

CBS will likely hold returning shows "The Odd Couple" and "Person of Interest" for midseason premieres.
