If you were a geek and you were to build a tree house, ever wonder how you would go about it? Well, enter Jono Williams, an engineer and graphic designer based in New Zealand. He wanted to build his own tree house and considering his skills, interests and capabilities, he made something quite extraordinary: he reimagined it.

Dubbed as The Skysphere, his tree house interpretation made it to CNN because it turned out to be quite cool and high tech. It is composed of a tree-like structure with a dome on top, that serves as the living space. Inside of this circular room, the owner and his guests are allowed a sweeping 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside.

CNN observed that the tree house, which cost $50,000 and took a year to construct, is indeed a "radical" reinvention of the tree house for the digital era. This is not without reason. Aside from design, the house features sophisticated LED lighting, high speed connectivity, projector, wireless sound system and even an electric beer dispenser - all powered by solar energy. The "man tower" is also only accessible through a fingerprint scanner and voice-activated system.

To top it all, the house and all its amenities can be controlled using Williams' Android smartphone. He uses a dedicated app to control lighting, the curtains, the security system and, of course, the beer dispenser. The app even notifies him when he is low on beer supply or when it is ripe to lower the LED lights, Android Police reported.

"It seems as if the only thing that the Skysphere doesn't have is a functioning bathroom. However, the area looks pretty secluded so there's always the outdoors," writes Mashable.
