There has been a lot of casting news in the world of super heroes recently. First it was announced that Ben Affleck will be the next actor to don the caped crusader's cowl as Batman in the upcoming sequel to this summer's "Man of Steel." Following that news "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston was cast as villain Lex Luthor for the same project. Meanwhile, back in the Marvel universe, James Spader's maniacal low tones were cast as the villain Ultron in the upcoming sequel to Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" in 2015. With such buzz around Hollywood and the super hero world it must be hard for actors and actresses to not sit around and wonder what iconic figure he or she would like to play. Justin Timerlake, fresh off of a reunion of his popular boy-band N'Sync at this year's VMAs, did just that. His choice comes with a big question mark.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Timberlake appeared on a radio show, Fresh 102.7's Jim and Kim Morning Show, on Tuesday. While there, the 32-year-old actor was asked if he wouldn't mind playing the Robin to his former "Runner Runner" co-star's Batman.

"I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a super hero in a movie," he said. "Now, a villain! I'll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler."

When asked why he was interested in playing an evil character with a penchant for word play rather than a hero, the musician and actor responded: "The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was proper crazy. So if I'm going to play crazy, I ant to play proper crazy...I'm ready. The Riddler. Give me a call."

Affleck has been criticized since his announcement as Batman with fans of the films and comics alike saying that he'll be all wrong for the part.

"Ben Affleck as Batman. I like it," Timberlake said. "I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people."
