Mike Miller was just involved in a trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Portland Trail Blazers where he, Brendan Haywood and two second round picks were sent to Portland to clear cap space for the Cavaliers. As of now Miller is a member of the Blazers, but it doesn't appear it will remain that way, as it's being reported that the Blazers and Miller are expected to reach a buyout agreement, making hime a free agent, according to Nick Borges of ESPN.com.

The Blazers made the trade because they were one of two teams with enough cap space to be able to take on Haywood and Miller's contracts and they received two second round picks as well. Haywood is also expected to be released immediately.

Once Miller is a free agent there will reportedly be a few teams interested, including the Memphis Grizzlies, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

Miller reportedly has interest in reuniting with one of his former teams, either the Miami Heat or the Grizzlies, according to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press. It is unknown if the Heat have interest in bringing him back at the moment, but it seems like the favorite for Miller is Memphis, where he's had two different stints (2003-2008 and the 2013-14 season).

Miller was tremendous in his most recent stint with the Grizzlies as he played in all 82 games and averaged 7.1 points in 20.8 minutes per game while shooting 48 percent from the field and 46 percent from three. Last season was a very down year for Miller, as he reportedly looked old and had lost his shooting touch, making only 33 percent of his threes.

Miller is not going to provide much of anything on the defensive end at this stage, and at age 35 it is fair to wonder if his career might be over. Miller, though, is a career 41 percent three-point shooter, so if he hasn't completely lost his shooting touch he might be able to help a team out after Portland releases him.
