Add Ludacris to the ever growing list of big name stars joining "Empire" for its highly anticipated second season. The rapper turned actor, real name Chris Bridges, posted an Instagram photo on Wednesday with Terrence Howard in their prison garb - Howard in an orange jumpsuit and Ludacris in a guard's uniform.

"This could get interesting... #empireseason2," Ludacris captioned the pic. The badge on the "Furious 7" star's uniform shows his character's surname is McKnight.

The two actors last starred together in 2005's "Hustle & Flow" and both appeared in Paul Haggis' ensemble drama "Crash" in 2004.

Ludacris is just one of the many stars who have jumped at the chance to work with co-creator Lee Daniels on the Fox hip-hop drama in season 2. He will join Chris Rock, Marisa Tomei, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Common and Oprah Winfrey on the incredible guest list.

Rock will join Howard's Lucious Lyon as a fellow prison inmate, Rowland will play Lucious' mother in a flashback and Tomei's character is a billionaire venture capitalist with an eye for the ladies. The show has not released details on Keys, Kravitz, Common and Oprah's characters.

"Empire" premieres its second season on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
