A baby horse has a white, uniquely shaped birthmark of himself right on his flank. It was like carrying a "self-portrait" everywhere, The Dodo noted.

The mark is like an optical illusion with a profile of another horse from his shoulder to his neck, emerging from white to black into his mane.

Because of the unique artistry of the patch, the 2-month old horse was named Da Vinci, nicknamed Vinny. He was born at Fyling Hall riding school in Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorks, England.

Owner Wendy Bulmer purchased the foal's mother without knowing she was pregnant. "I bought his mother at a sale and didn't know she was in foal [pregnant] so that was a bit of a surprise. I wasn't very happy at first but he is so friendly and the kids love him," she said, Earth Porn reported.

"The chestnut horses have irregular patches but they don't normally make something as recognizable," she added, according to Daily Mail. "He's even got a little white heart shape on his bottom as well.'
